As many of you know, I have been running an email newsletter in conjunction with this blog for the last five years (the blog has been around about two years longer!). What I like about my newsletter is that it allows me to connect directly with a targeted group of people and I’ve found that the vast majority of my subscribers have been with me for a long time.
That being said I’ve always struggled, often openly, about how I can make my newsletter better. One of the top suggestions I’ve had over the years is to add Groupon-like deals to my newsletter, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do.
So here’s how it’s going to work.
Every month I will publish my regular newsletter which is typically packed with actionable articles, tips and exclusive content that you don’t find on my blog. People have loved this for years, I don’t want to break something that’s working. But I do want to make it better.
Every week my “M Deals” newsletter will go out featuring one deal every week, valid only for that week. My goal is to help connect my subscribers with the best products and services, from domain registration and renewal specials, to hosting and WordPress themes I’ll be doing my best to bring great deals exclusively to my subscribers.
By making offers time-limited I can work harder for you, my subscribers, to get the best deals possible. While many companies don’t like discounts out there for an extended period of time, limiting it to a week means I can probably negotiate some pretty stellar deals for all of you.
