My Picks for the Sedo Premium .ME Auction

Sedo’s Premium .ME auction begins tomorrow with some absolutely stellar names. NameTalent is running an exciting contest to see who can pick the name that sells for the highest dollar amount, gets the most bids, and has the most individual bidders. As a big fan of .ME myself I’m personally looking forward to this auction and thought I’d share my top picks.

  • Job.me – great name for a web 2.0 job brand
  • Deals.me – perfect domain for a deals site
  • LosAngeles.me – I live in Los Angeles so of course I like this one!
  • OnlineDating.me – huge, lucrative niche online – category defining name
  • Taxi.me – I can already see a Taxi app on my iPhone with this one
  • Washington.me – get in on the occupy movement
  • 888.me – probably the best 3N .me out there
  • Scores.me – perfect name for a sports scores brand/app

Feel free to share your favorite picks and don’t forget to enter in NameTalent’s contest!

Morgan, one of your top picks is quite similar to one of my domains ‘internetdating’ (.me). So I’ll be interested to see what onlinedating.me goes for!

    Cheers

Is there anyway to actually appraise a .me domain? I assume its all in what someone is willing to pay for it. In time after a lot of .me domains have been sold, developed, etc. is when we can do some comparisons, etc.

As Date.Me sold for 70k and Love.Me for 32k – what would be a fair price for a xxxx.me domain names? Say f***.me and w*nk.me?

As the reults clearly shows that super premium keywords which would have been in millions in .com are not even selling in hundreds clearly shows the value of .me

I think it is just wasting time to invest in these and wait eternity.
Of course if you have some project in mind then its fine else they are junk

@.Me Of Course! the jingles are all crap worth reg fees only IMHO

Jingl.es actual.ly sell very well. Hac.ks – not so much.

The average good price for a jing.ly .me is above 12k these days.

“The average good price for a jing.ly .me is above 12k these days.”
Either i am not understanding or you are joking
Then all these sedo auctions & so many pros are fools as they are not able to sell such big keywords for 2k & you are selling merry jingles of .me for 12k
I think Christmas came little early for you
At least please don’t provide such fictious statements
@Morgan would you like to say something 🙂

    @Sid

We are talking about sales to the end users. Here are few recent ones:

    Business.Me went for 40k euro
    Watch.Me went for 20k euro
    Sponsor.Me went for 25k euro
    Inject.Me went for $27,000
    Imprint.me went for $4,750

In January alone, our company sold dry.me, truly.me, and whisper.me for some $39k+.

There you go. The trick, of-cour.se is to find your end user.
